Unless you have the expertise yourself, it is much easier to outsource the work to someone who has done it well before. For an iphone app, you could look into freelancing the work (like iphonefreelancer.com, elance.com, or getreplacemyself.com) or find programmer you could use as a business partner. Travis Russell actually has more experience with this than I do. He has hired progammers for WebbChange, so you could contact him if you have more specific questions. You could also take the plunge and learn how to program an iphone yourself, but I'm sure you've already looked into that. Let me know if you have any other questions and good luck on your project!
